Kristina and Emerson are the most amazing pet parents. They lost their 15 year old sweetheart, Oreo, to cancer last September. Oreo had always been the center of their lives, but he was especially doted on in his last year during the most vulnerable stage of his life. After Oreo passed away, Kristina and Emerson took some time to let their hearts heal. Kristina had thought about fostering, but she was waiting for things to "feel right."

This past week, Kristina saw Sasha's photo and story on social media (Sasha had been found tied up alone for two days before a neighbor brought her in to the NYC ACC). Kristina was instantly drawn to her and she made the trip to the SSD adoption pawty yesterday where, upon meeting, she instantly fell in love with sweet Sasha! Kristina immediately filled out her adoption application, scheduled the home check, and as soon as they were approved to adopt they drove right over to pick up her new girl today! Sasha will get to go work with her mom every day (hooray for pet friendly offices!) and won't ever have to be alone again.

Sasha is Kristina and Emerson's first senior dog adoption and we know they will be smitten with all her loveliness for all of her days to come. And Sasha couldn't have found two better humans to call her own!
